'till arthritis took his hands.
Now he sells insurance on the side."

A bittersweet end to a family business...

Tracy & John Dear friends,

Multiple generations of our family have been handcrafting ceramic creations for over 25 years. Unfortunately, John's arthritis is advancing in his hands and wrists, and he is no longer able to work with clay. So now the last in line, John and Tracy, are closing the doors to the pottery studio and opening the doors to a brand new art studio.

We are returning to John's first love -- photography. We are happy to announce our new business," John Ashley Fine Art Photography." John was an award-winning photojournalist for over 10 years, and now he is applying that skill and creativity to photographing the wild animals and wild places of his beautiful home, Montana.

John has a knack of capturing beautiful moments that are unlike anything you've seen before -- from "moonbows" over Glacier National Park, to downy ducklings jumping out of their nest 40' above the ground, to the flight pattern showing just how a Bald Eagle catches a fish. So please join with us on our new journey and visit the new website.

On behalf of the Ashley and Groves families of tile makers, thanks for the years of support and friendship. We look forward to crossing paths again at our new website or at an Art Festival near you!

Thanks for a wonderful journey!
